Electronic Arse-Pirates

I read an interesting article on Slashdot this evening which makes me a) thankful I never aspired to get involved in the game programming industry and b) likely to boycott purchasing any "big name company" games from now on. (By boycott, of course, I mean pirate.)

Non-Frames Experiment

I'm experimenting with a non-frames based page, so there may be some weird stuff happening for a bit. (Like links not working.)

Virtual Moving Day

According to the Powers That Be, uvtek.net will move on November 20th. At that time the site will probably "go down" for a few days while I move the files.

Fax0red

I am wondering if our fax machine is broken, because I faxed the appropriate papers to the new Internet provider twice yesterday but the status on their web page still says "awaiting faxed papers." I recall now that Cynthia mentioned she had problems faxing out resumes a while back, too. I suppose it's reasonable to expect that, after 10+ years, a fax machine might develop some problems.

Boycott In Progress

It has come to my attention that Flower Depot in Ashland has screwed us over, so I thought I should warn all of the loyal readers of my site.

Even More New Looks

No, I haven't yet found a look I'm happy with, and I vow to continue changing everything around until I like it again, or until I get sick of it completely.

Weekend News

We had the niece and nephew over again this weekend. We went to Pocahontas Park to canoe yesterday. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that the canoe rentals were shut down for the season. So we watched the niece and nephew do some fishing.

More New Looks

I've been working toward making the "look and feel" of my Blog application more customizable. This is because I get sick of looking at it from time to time but it's a pain to change it. However, I'm now implementing what I call "styles" (because I refuse to call it by the more popular term "skins" because I think that's goofy) which should allow me to easily change the color schemes and fonts from time to time.

Election Thoughts

Again, I don't normally get into politics, so I apologize for this diversion. (Warning: Obscure reference ahead.) Most of the time you can find me working diligently for the Voter Apathy Party. ("Now here's a party I can get excited about. Sign me up!")

New Look

Something that's been on my web page "todo" list for ages is spiffing up the article title bars. Tonight the dream has become reality. They are, in fact, spiffier.
